Wekimün School conceived as a space that would combine scientific knowledge with traditional indigenous knowledge, placing value on the Williche cosmovision to guide all its work.

The students, youths between 18 and 44 years of age, are educated through Project Based Learning, which means they learn by doing. Their education process includes a stay at the school and the implementation of planned activities in their own communities. The teaching staff follow the same model: the teachers accompany the educational process during the school stay, as well as in the field, directly in the student's territories.

Along with the development of student-relevant curriculum, Wekimün Chilkatuwe also works to foster projects of applied research that aim to improve the cultural and natural resources of each territory.
